2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™.
We sought the most creative and cost-effective ideas; innovations that will lead to more sustainable outcomes in the design, construction and operational stages of our tournament infrastructure delivery.
Health & safety
Health & safety awareness is embedded in the SC’s
corporate culture. We believe that every employee deserves safe,
healthy and humane working and living conditions.
For this challenge we looked for ideas that focused on occupational health & safety awareness, or those that enhanced and monitored the health and safety of employees.

We asked entrants to focus on at least one of the following areas: journey planning and navigation; crowd control; virtual queues; sport as entertainment; or sport and health.
In 2022, fans from around the world will converge on Qatar in a celebration of the beautiful game. It is imperative that we provide our guests with consistently high levels of service, and deliver an amazing experience at every point.
We asked you to create memorable experiences that reflect the best of the region, and contribute to the long-term diversification of the Qatari and regional economies.

The application process for the second cycle of Challenge 22 has now finished, and our judges are in the process of evaluating this year’s entries.

Semi-finalists will have the opportunity to be mentored by leading scientists and researchers to fine-tune their proposals for the next stage.

Applications are narrowed down further, with finalists flown to Doha for business development workshops and to present their projects to our judges.
Finalists will receive two days of pitching workshops followed by live pitching in front of judges on the final day. All finalists will benefit from networking and skills development opportunities during this period. The winners will each take home USD 15,000 in prize money, the chance to apply for a grant of up to USD 100,000 and invaluable contacts and opportunities.
