Josoor Institute, developed by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, is the Middle East’s
centre of excellence for the sports and events industries.
Inspired by the arrival of the FIFA World Cup™ to this historic region, Josoor Institute is honing the next generation of professionals in the sports and events sectors.
Some of those professionals, having been trained by first-class tutors, will contribute to one of the most ground-breaking sporting occasions of all time – the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™.
Developing & diversifying
As Josoor Institute nurtures events
industry personnel of the highest calibre, it makes an important contribution
to the human development goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030). Part of this is conducting vital research into fan engagement and the events landscape in the Middle East.
Josoor Institute graduates will gain the skills and knowledge to make Qatar an international events hub, realising another QNV 2030 objective of diversifying the economy away from energy and towards more sustainable areas.
Tourism, property, media, service and manufacturing are just some of the sectors that will rapidly grow while Qatar’s reputation as a first-class events host balloons.
That process has already begun, with the country recently playing host to the Asian Games, FINA World Swimming Championships and IAAF Diamond League series.
Events such as these, and upcoming competitions like the 2019 IAAF World Championships, help to build the expertise that makes Josoor Institute a vital part of Qatar’s bright future.
