The following terms of use (the “Terms of Use”) apply to your use of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (“SC”) website at http://www.sc.qa (the “Website”). 

These Terms of Use are also in addition to other applicable notices, guidelines and rules that may be published by us on the Website from time to time (each of which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference) and the terms and conditions of the Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) Website, upon which some parts of this Website are hosted. For the avoidance of doubt, in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the AZF Website terms and conditions and these Terms of Use in relation to your use of this Website, these Terms of Use shall prevail.

By using the Website, you indicate that you have read, understood, accept and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and by all applicable laws and regulations governing the Website and relating to the protection of the intellectual property owned by or licensed to SC. These Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with Qatari law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Qatar. 

These Terms of Use have been drafted in the English language. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and any translated text of the Terms of Use, the English text shall prevail.

We may revise any part of these Terms of Use or any other notices, guidelines and rules otherwise incorporated by reference to these Terms of Use at any time. As a condition of using the Website, you are required to check these Terms of Use regularly to take notice of any changes we make as they are legally binding on you. By using the Website, you agree that the posting of new or revised Terms of Use on the Website shall constitute adequate and constructive notice to you of any and all revisions and changes. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” as mentioned herein refer to SC (and its successors and licensors). SC is the owner and operator of the Website. We have been established in the State of Qatar by Emiri Decree No. (27) of 2011 as amended by Emiri Decree No. (3) of 2014 and our principal place of business is at Al Bidda Tower, P.O. Box 62022, Doha, State of Qatar. The term “you” or “your” as mentioned herein refers to the user or viewer of our Website. The content of our Website is for your general information and non-commercial use only. Except as otherwise stated in these Terms of Use, you are granted permission to view, store, print, reproduce, distribute any pages or download any material from the Website for personal non‑commercial use provided that: (i) you do not modify any such page or any such material; and (ii) you include reference to, and a requirement for compliance with, these Terms of Use with any reproduction. Any unauthorised reproduction for commercial purposes of the Website or any part thereof shall not be permitted.

Our liability to you

We exclude all representations, warranties, conditions and terms express or implied by statute, common law or otherwise to the fullest extent permitted by law. We accept no liability for any special, indirect, incidental, consequential or economic loss howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with these Terms. Nothing on the Website shall be construed you as offering you or any other party any services whatsoever.

We provide the content on the Website in good faith but give no warranty or representation that the content is accurate, complete or up-to-date, nor that the Website does not infringe the rights of any third party. We accept no responsibility or liability for your use of content on the Website and such use is entirely at your own risk. While we take reasonable precautions to prevent the existence of computer viruses and/or other malicious programs on the Website, we accept no liability for them. Access to our Website is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend access to our Website without notice (see further below). We will not be liable if, for any reason, our Website is unavailable at any time or for any period. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts of our Website, or our entire Website.

Certain features of this Website require that you create an account or otherwise interact with the Website. If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any third party. By registering with us to obtain a user identification code, password or any other information as part of our security procedures, you represent and warrant that (i) you are over 18 years of age; (ii) the information that you provide to us with respect to such procedures is accurate and not misleading in any way; and (iii) you will continue to satisfy our requirements for such access from time to time. In addition, should any material information provided to us in connection with such procedure change, you shall immediately notify us of such change. If you provide, or SC has reasonable grounds to suspect that you have provided, any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or SC reasonably considers that you have failed to comply with any provisions of these Terms of Use, SC has the right to restrict access to some parts of the Website, or our entire Website, to users who have registered with us.

SC grants to you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and perpetual licence to access and use the Website privately for non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under the age of 18 (“Minors”). We do not take specific steps to protect the privacy of Minors who disclose their personal identifying information to us and we shall take all reasonable steps required of us to protect the rights of Minors and their privacy under the laws of the State of Qatar.

We may also use your data, or permit selected third parties to use your data, to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by post, e-mail or telephone.

You have the right to contact us in order to find out what information we hold about you (please note that a QAR100 (US$30) fee will be payable to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you) or to access, cancel or correct any information that we hold about you.

You access use our website at your sole risk. The Website and its content is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the website, or any links, is done at your own risk. You will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system (including any damage by virus) or loss of data that results from the download of any such material. Nothing in these terms of use exclude or limits our liability for any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree that you shall indemnify and hold harmless SC, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, members, agents, partners and licensees from any and all claims, liabilities, cost or expenses, arising from any and all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, penalties, fines, costs and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable legal fees, that may arise in connection with (i) your use of this Website; (ii) your breach of these Terms of Use; (iii) SC publication, distribution or use of such materials provided by you; (iv) any claim by a third party that any content provided by you to the Website or any other use of the Website by you infringes any intellectual property, other proprietary or privacy right of such third party or has otherwise caused damage to a third party.

Any failure by SC to exercise or enforce any rights under these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision and SC shall continue to have such rights to the extent permitted by applicable law. To the extent any provisions under these Terms of Use is found to be invalid, you and SC agree that the intentions of SC, as reflected in such provision, shall be given effect to the fullest extent possible under applicable law and that other provisions of the Terms remain in full force and effect. 

Breaching the terms

We will determine, at our sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of the acceptable use rules of our Terms of Use through your use of the Website. In the event that we determine there has been such breach, we may take such action as we deem appropriate, including but not limited to, the following:

•   immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the Website;
•   issue of a warning to you;
•   take legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from such breach;
