Al Rayyan Stadium Progress

A spectacular new stadium is rising up on the site of the old Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan. For those working on its creation, the completion date in the first quarter of 2019 is the ultimate goal.

Al Rayyan Stadium will be a unique venue, with a striking design that represents Qatar’s history and future. The site is a hub of activity, as workers and engineers from around the globe strive to make this vision a reality for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ – and beyond.

Although this project is an international endeavour, one crucial element of the stadium – its 40,000 seats – will be produced by a local factory at Coastal Qatar. This boost to Qatar’s economy is just one small part of the long-term legacy being built as this arena rises up.
